Aileen Dockerty was born and educated in Manchester, England and consequently an avid fan of Manchester United and the Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Aileen has lived in Durham Region for more than 20 years and before that in the hub of Toronto. With a background in legal work, Aileen honed her writing skills into soulful, meaningful celebrant wedding, wedding officiant, funeral and baby naming ceremonies.
Aileen Dockerty is a Funeral and Family Celebrant, certified by the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants, and marriage officiant licensed by the Government of Ontario under the Marriage Act.
As a Funeral and Family Celebrant, Aileen will write and create a ceremony which will be fitting, bespoke and heartfelt; a ceremony crafted in collaboration with wonderful people undergoing a significant life change.
During our lives, we experience difficult times as well as joyous milestones. Each life event can be marked and celebrated with a perfect ceremonial experience created for you or for your loved one.
Every life is unique. We do not all travel on the same path. Therefore, a ceremony celebrating a life, marriage, new baby or another rite of passage should be as unique as the individuals involved.
Aileen will explore ways of making the service as meaningful and as personalized as possible. As a result, a distinctive and special wedding or funeral ceremony will be produced, rather than a standard ceremony with interchangeable names.
Your ceremony will be remembered for years to come and the Celebrant difference will speak for itself. Aileen is a Minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry.
