Do I need a Wedding Rehearsal?

A question I am frequently asked by couples when planning their wedding ceremony: Do I need a wedding rehearsal with you?

So my answer is, sometimes yes but also, sometimes no. Basically it depends on your own comfort level, size of wedding, wedding party and certain other factors. A rehearsal is absolutely necessary for a wedding ceremony with more than a few guests.

VENUES AND YOUR WEDDING PLANNER MAY include a rehearsal

Some venues will provide access to the venue prior to your wedding for your rehearsal with or without a staff member to assist you. Every venue has a different policy and it would be a good idea to check if you are unsure. Also, if you have hired an independent wedding coordinator/planner, managing your wedding rehearsal is often included within their services. Please check your contract(s) to confirm. However, some couples want both their officiant, venue and coordinator/planner to jointly conduct the rehearsal but it is a personal choice for you to make.

run your own rehearsal

Alternatively, you can run your own rehearsal if you wish at the venue or elsewhere. All my booked clients can have access to my written rehearsal guide to assist you in running your own rehearsal.

REHEARSALS ARE RECOMMENDED

Whether you choose to hire a professional to assist with your rehearsal or run your own, rehearsals are ALWAYS recommended to ease any anxiety surrounding your wedding ceremony that you may be experiencing. You will definitely be glad that you took the time to rehearse for your special day when it actually happens!

REHEARSAL FEES

Additional fees do apply for my attendance to conduct your rehearsal and not included in wedding ceremony package pricing. This is because an additional attendance at the venue is required and rehearsals often take as much time or more time on site than a wedding ceremony. Current pricing is $200 for a Monday-Thursday rehearsal and $275 for Friday-Sunday rehearsals.
